Welcome to Old Bicycle Company.

A few years back, I started a hobby of restoring worn-out, neglected old bicycles into solid, inexpensive transportation - often with a whimsical theme. Because many of these bikes are from unknown manufacturers, I started rebadging them as Old Bicycle Company. So if you see that logo on a bike, you know its one I have restored.

Typically I will rebuild a bike and ride it for a few months or years, and then sell it on eBay or Craigslist. I don't look to make money, just enough to cover my parts costs.  Most sell for $75 to $200.

My daytime job keeps me in two cities - Boston and Columbus. I rebuild bikes and ride them in both cities.  Since both have large universities,  I usually have little problem finding a buyer for a bike when I'm done riding it.

Several of my bikes were built for friends or relatives. Those are often the most fun to do because some of my friends have unusual tastes. Check out the Zebra bike in "
The Bikes" to see it and other examples of rejuvenated used bikes and projects currently in the works.

I plan to start up a page of refurbished  and modified bikes from other hobbists, so if you have a photo or two of a bike you've restored, send it to me and I will post it !
